Why some plants are hard to control

The attached picture is a root structure of what I believe is a morning glory. Also known fondly as bind week.

They will travel quickly as both above and below disturbed ground. It sends out runners that will grow to yards long without control or competition.

The picture illustrates both the root and the little white sprouts are rhizomes. They are seeking light. The soil temperature at this one spot has started the growth and propagation cycle for the 2026 growing season.
